Stocks rise in final session of 2018 but log biggest annual decline in 10 years

rose round 265 factors, or 1.1%, to shut round 23,327. The Nasdaq Composite

rose round 51 factors, or 0.8%, to finish close to 6,635. For the 12 months, nevertheless, the S&P 500 fell 6.2%, the Dow dropped 5.6% and the Nasdaq Composite posted a 3.9% decline, the biggest yearly fall for all three in a decade.
